The Kano State Government has directed civil servants who have attained the statutory retirement age or completed the required length of service to immediately vacate their offices. The directive requires affected workers to formally hand over their official responsibilities and government property to their immediate subordinates.
The government said the measure is aimed at ensuring compliance with established public service regulations and facilitating a smooth transition of responsibilities within the state civil service. Affected civil servants are expected to complete the necessary handover processes without delay.
The directive is expected to pave the way for the orderly assumption of duties by eligible personnel while reinforcing adherence to retirement provisions across the state civil service. Officials affected by the order have been urged to comply with the directive accordingly.
