Former Anambra State Governor and presidential hopeful, Peter Obi, has assured Nigerians that his leadership will be built on regular, direct communication with the people. He made the statement while addressing supporters and members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Speaking on his leadership style, Obi said that if elected President, he would remain accessible and consistently engage Nigerians on the affairs of the nation. He stressed that a leader should be willing to speak directly to the people rather than communicate through proxies.
According to Obi, “Leadership cannot be outsourced. If you want to lead, you will answer to the people.” He further assured Nigerians that, as their Chief Servant, he would speak to them daily, weekly and monthly, emphasizing accountability, openness and a direct connection between the government and the people.
