A report that was published on the official X account of THE SUN on Sunday, May 24, 2026 has captured the moment Nigerian lawyer and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kenneth Okonkwo was speaking about the primary elections that APC conducted.

He made the statement after the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC announced names of those who won their primary elections across the nation.

In the report that surfaced online, Kenneth Okonkwo said votes were not counted properly during the All Progressive Congress, APC primary elections.

The ADC chieftain said Nigeria will continue to produce corrupt leaders if credible elections are not organized. He said the reason why the ruling party has been producing incompetent leaders is because of the way the party conducts its elections.

According to THE SUN, Kenneth Okonkwo said that;

“In APC vote counting method, we witnessed count 100, 500, 1000 as official result of winners. There was no 101. A corrupt tree must produce corrupt fruits. This is why APC as a party has been producing the worst set of leaders for Nigeria”.
