Share this:

The Senate Minority Whip, Distinguished Senator Dr. Tony Nwoye has delivered new market infrastructure in Onitsha, handing over lock-up shops to traders at no cost.

The commissioning, which took place at Inland Town, by the Slaughter House opposite the Army Barracks, 22 lock-up shops have been constructed and equipped with solar-powered boreholes and modern toilet facilities, creating a clean, functional, and sustainable trading environment. This intervention reflects a practical approach to governance that directly improves the daily working conditions of small-scale entrepreneurs.

Similarly, at Okolonji Street, Odoakpu, 25 lock-up shops have been completed and fitted with a solar-powered borehole to ensure steady access to water. This aids in integrating essential utilities into these projects and creating initiatives that goes beyond providing physical structures to delivering complete, user-friendly trading spaces.

Residents testifies that the free allocation of these shops removes a major financial barrier for traders, enabling them to channel resources into business growth rather than setup costs.
