ADC Insists In David Mark NWC We Trust
Share this:

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has raised serious concerns over what it describes as a direct test of Nigeria’s democratic integrity, following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) decision to delist the Senator David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC) from its official portal. The development, reportedly linked to ongoing legal disputes, has sparked outrage within the party, with stakeholders warning that such actions risk undermining due process and the independence of political institutions at a critical time in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

In a strong show of unity, prominent leaders and political heavyweights have rallied around the party’s leadership, reaffirming confidence in the Senator David Mark-led NWC. Among those present or aligned with the growing coalition strength are former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola, and outspoken chieftain Senator Dino Melaye. Their alignment, alongside other stakeholders within the ADC structure, signals a broader political convergence aimed at strengthening opposition forces ahead of future elections.

Finally, as tensions continue to unfold, the ADC has called for strict adherence to the rule of law and respect for party autonomy, emphasizing that leadership disputes must be resolved through lawful and transparent means.

Indeed, political observers believe the unfolding situation could redefine opposition politics and alliances ahead of 2027. Yet, amid the uncertainty, the party’s message remains firm and symbolic—in David Mark’s NWC, they trust.
