The Nasarawa State Police Command has rescued four abducted children and reunited them with their families following an intelligence-led operation. The rescue followed a report received on December 31, 2025, concerning the disappearance of the children under suspicious circumstances in Karu Local Government Area.

Police detectives, working with FCT Police Command operatives, traced the suspects’ hideout and recovered the children unhurt. Two suspects, Abraham Asoje and Joy Bolaje, were allegedly involved in the abduction and are currently in custody. The children have been reunited with their families, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend other suspects still at large.

Commissioner of Police Shetima Mohammed commended the operatives for their professionalism and swift response. He reassured residents of the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, particularly vulnerable persons. The police urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and report suspicious incidents promptly.2
