The Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Dr. Kassim Muhammad Kassim, attended a workshop in Abuja as part of efforts to tackle the persistent challenge of out-of-school children.
According to a statement issued by the media unit of the board, the workshop focused on various reforms and assessments to enhance educational planning and delivery, as well as develop a legal framework and schemes to effectively address the issue of out-of-school children.
Dr. Kassim joined other stakeholders in the basic education sub-sector across the 36 states and the FCT to identify issues, gaps, and provide recommendations to underscore the need for targeted, context-specific strategies to address the multifaceted barriers to basic education.
The workshop, organized by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, was held on Thursday at the Exclusive Serene Hotel in Wuye, Abuja.
