The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has raised concerns over the Federal Government’s proposed fuel discount, warning that certain challenges could affect its effective implementation across the country.
The association noted that the success of the initiative would depend on how the policy is structured and implemented, particularly in ensuring that petroleum retailers can comply with the proposed arrangement without facing operational difficulties.
PETROAN’s concerns have highlighted the need for the Federal Government to address potential obstacles before rolling out the initiative. Nigerians will be watching closely to see whether the proposed discount can deliver meaningful relief to motorists and households amid the continued pressure of fuel costs.
