The Federal Government has warned ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) against purchasing vehicles from suppliers and manufacturers that are not registered with the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC).
The Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Dr Adebowale Adedokun, gave the warning on Friday, October 9, 2026, during a joint news conference organised by the BPP and NADDC in Abuja.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the directive forms part of efforts to enforce the Federal Government’s Nigeria First Policy, which seeks to promote locally manufactured products and strengthen domestic industries.
