The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, celebrated frontline troops with a Christmas luncheon in Kwara State, commending their sacrifices in safeguarding lives and preserving national peace. Represented by Maj. Gen. Muhammad Abdullahi, Shaibu urged troops to remain vigilant and proactive, noting that criminal elements often exploit festive periods.

The event was described as significant by Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who said it underscores commitment to troops’ well-being. The GOC 2 Division, Maj-Gen. Christopha Nnebeife, said the COAS organised the event to appreciate troops’ efforts.
