Lazeera news captures that a family of six from Ukpo, Anambra, lost their lives in a fire incident in Burkina Faso on December 23rd, caused by a candle used for prayer. The victims, including a woman and her five children, died in the early hours of the morning, with three of the children arriving in Burkina Faso just hours before the incident.

In a separate incident, three Omatu brothers from Classic Clothing, Anambra, are still missing after a fire razed a 25-storey building in Lagos on December 24th. Another victim, God. UZO, a China-based businessman from Umuoji, Anambra, lost his life in the same Lagos fire incident. These tragic events have left families in Anambra grieving amidst the celebration season.

The losses include not only lives but also billions of naira in businesses. The community prays for the families involved, seeking comfort and solace during this difficult time. May the Omatu brothers be found alive.
