The Bauchi State Government has confirmed the sponsorship of 356 Christian pilgrims for the 2025 spiritual journey to Israel and Jordan. Governor Bala Mohammed made the announcement during a farewell address, highlighting the pilgrimage as an opportunity for participants to pray for forgiveness and strengthen their faith.
Governor Mohammed assured that adequate arrangements had been made for the pilgrims’ security, transportation, food, accommodation, and medical needs while in the Holy Land. He urged the pilgrims to observe the exercise’s tenets and respect the laws of their host countries.
The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr Ibrahim Gwallang, thanked the governor for his consistent support and fairness, praising his inclusive leadership and efforts in promoting justice and equity among all faiths. The pilgrims are scheduled to depart from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday, December 29.
