The Kano State Private and Voluntary Institutions Board (KSPVIB) has temporarily shut down nine private schools across the state for failing to comply with requirements for revalidation and recertification.
The board said the affected schools failed to meet the necessary regulatory conditions for continued operation, stressing the importance of proper registration and compliance with established standards in the private education sector.
The development underscores the state government’s efforts to ensure that private schools operate within approved guidelines and maintain the required standards. School proprietors are expected to fulfil all registration and certification obligations to avoid further regulatory sanctions.
