Arabambi; Soludo Set to Break Obi’s South-East Voting Monopoly
Share this:

Dr. Abayomi Arabambi, factional National Chairman of the Labour Party (South West), has predicted a more competitive political landscape in the South-East ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV, Arabambi stated that Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, would not remain passive and allow former presidential candidate Peter Obi to dominate the region’s votes as he did during the 2023 elections.

According to Arabambi, the political dynamics in the South-East have evolved significantly since the last election cycle. He argued that key political actors and regional leaders are now more determined to assert their influence and shape electoral outcomes within their states. He maintained that Soludo and other stakeholders would play active roles in ensuring that voting patterns in 2027 reflect broader political interests and alliances.

Arabambi further noted that while Peter Obi remains a formidable political figure with substantial support across the South-East, he is likely to face stronger opposition from competing political forces.

He added that internal disputes within opposition parties, leadership struggles, and strategic realignments could significantly influence the outcome of the 2027 elections, making the contest far more competitive than previous polls.
