Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist has accused President Bola Tinubu of seeking to jail him and said he intends to defeat Tinubu in the upcoming election.
In a video interview shared by TV PLATINUM, Sowore told journalists that his ongoing legal battles remain a concern but that the administration is determined to silence genuine opposition.
He said the ruling party is unhappy because it lacks a credible challenger and argued that his movement represents the real opposition after other opposition figures were weakened.
Sowore accused the government of trying to neutralise opposition voices rather than engaging in fair political competition.
According to him, “I have my own cases that I should be worried about. Tinubu still wants to jail me. We have elections coming up and I want to defeat Tinubu.
They are not happy about the fact that they don’t have real opposition and the real opposition will be us because they have crippled their fellow opposition people.
