The Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed that 21-year-old Ekiti State University (EKSU) student, Damilola Praise, who was reported missing, has been found safe. Damilola left Lagos for Ado-Ekiti on January 5 and was traced to Osogbo in Osun State after his phone lines became unreachable, sparking concerns from his family and friends.

According to the police, Damilola contacted his parents upon arrival in Ado-Ekiti but deliberately stayed out of contact due to poor academic performance. He has since secured employment with a security company in Osogbo and plans to withdraw temporarily from school to focus on his job.

The police have cautioned the public against spreading unverified information on social media, which could cause unnecessary panic. Further investigations are ongoing, and necessary actions will be taken.
