First-Ever Reversal of Type 1 Diabetes Using Stem Cell Therapy

Chinese scientists have successfully reversed Type 1 diabetes in a patient using stem cell therapy the first case of its kind in history.

The team reprogrammed the patient’s own cells into insulin-producing beta-like cells and transplanted them back into her body.

Remarkably, this restored her ability to regulate blood sugar levels naturally, eliminating the need for daily insulin injections.

Experts say the development represents a functional cure for an autoimmune disease long considered irreversible.
