Daring rescue efforts unfolded in Lagos as the Lagos State Fire Services and Rescue Service said it had successfully saved a 56-year-old man who had become trapped inside an 80-foot-deep well in the Ikotun area of the state.
The agency made this announcement in a post shared on its X handle, @LagosRescue, on Tuesday.
It stated that the agency received a distress call reporting an individual trapped inside a well.
According to the fire service, preliminary investigations suggest that the incident may have been caused by negligence.
It reiterated the importance of notifying the agency whenever hazardous jobs were to be undertaken.
