Share this:

The Zamfara State Government has empowered 100 Small and Medium Scale (SMS) business women in 14 Local Government Councils with unconditional grants to support their businesses.

Distributing the grant in Gusau on Wednesday, the Wife of the Zamfara Governor, Hajiyya Huriyya Lawal, said the initiative aimed to empower women entrepreneurs to strengthen the community’s foundation for development and growth.

Lawal said that 100 determined and enterprising women were empowered with cash grants ranging from ₦ 300,000 to ₦ 500,000 each for the development of their businesses.

A beneficiary, Naima Idris from Talata Mafara Local Government, commended the initiative, adding that it would give women in business the opportunity to contribute their quota to economic growth and development.
