The former Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Rt. Hon Emaka Ihedioha and the current Senator representing Anambra north senatorial district, Dr. Tony Nwoye, was in a deft move to garner the support and solidarity of Northern elites, they further advocated that HE Mr Peter Obi should be adopted as a consensus candidate of the party for one tenure period in the interest of equity and justice come 2027.
Speaking during a recent political engagement in Abuja, Hon Ihedioha stressed that Mr Peter Obi has been outstanding and has over the years shown capacity to bring Nigeria out the woods. His coming will usher a new beginning in Nigeria.
He posited that leadership goes beyond mere criticism or forming alliances against the ruling party. He emphasized the need for substance, robost strategies, and programs that address Nigeria’s deep-rooted challenges.
According to Hon Ihedioha Nigerians need a competent and compassionate president that would help restore the waning glory of the country and not one elected based on ethnic sentiments.

Senator Nwoye maintained that Nigerians need a president that will help tackle and solve the nation’s myriad of challenges, both political, social and economic, like insecurity, unemployment, poverty, deteriorating health and education systems, among others.
