The Jigawa Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has announced the demise of its past Chairman, Fahad Mallam-Madori, who died on Sunday night in his hometown of Mallam-Madori.
The Chairman of the council, Isma’il Ibrahim, announced in a statement that the deceased would be buried at 9 am on Monday, Ramin Buzuwa, in Mallam-Madori Local Government Area of the state.
Until his death, Mallam-Madori served diligently as the Information Officer of Kaugama and Birniwa Local Government Areas, under the Jigawa Ministry of Information, Youth, Sport and Culture
Ibrahim said that his commitment to the development of journalism and his exemplary service to the state would remain indelible in the hearts of his colleagues.
His tenure as Chairman of the NUJ Jigawa Council was marked by integrity, selflessness, and dedication to the welfare of journalists.
Mallam-Madori died at the age of 53, leaving behind a wife and four children.
