Labour Party Scores Big: Over 700 Landlords & Tenants Join From Nsugbe Ward 2
Share this:

The Labour Party has made a significant gain in Nsugbe Ward 2, Anambra East Local Government Area, with over 700 landlords and tenants joining the party. This mass defection demonstrates confidence on the Party and it’s leadership, and also underscores a growing shift in political allegiance within the community.

According to one of the landlords of Great Anioma Estate, the decision to join the Labour Party was driven by dissatisfaction with current governance and its perceived failures in addressing local issues. Thus, Labour party’s integral focus on social justice, economic empowerment, and community development resonated with the residents of Great Anioma Estate and other estates within the environs.

Furthermore, the Anambra East Local Government Labour Party Chairman, Hon. C. Chinwuba (Oracle), expressed appreciation to the landlords and tenants for their decision. He noted that the influx of new members would bolster the party’s presence and influence in the area, potentially signaling a broader trend of political realignment.

The important highlights of the event featured their welcoming ceremony into labour party and presentation of the party identity card, which shows proper authentication. The event was attended by key party officials, including, Hon. C. Chinwuba (An.east Labour Party chairman), Hon. Aghadiuno Onyeka (Mentor) (LG Secretary), Hon.Obinna Obiora Anthony (LG Fin.Sec), Hon. Augustine Nweze (LG Legal Adviser), Hon. Kingsley Ezeaku (Ex offio 3), Hon. Emmanuel Udeaja (Nsugbe Ward 2 Chairman), Hon. Augustine Atta, Chief Obiekezie, Mrs. Adaora Igwemma, Mrs Uju and so many others.
