The Labour Party has made a significant gain in Nsugbe Ward 2, Anambra East Local Government Area, with over 700 landlords and tenants joining the party. According to one of the landlords of Great Anioma Estate, the decision to join the Labour Party was driven by dissatisfaction with current governance and its perceived failures in addressing local issues.
