Share this:

A former Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai escaped an attack from some members of the Boko Haram terrorist group, a lawmaker Ali Ndume has disclosed.

Ndume said the convoy of the ex-COAS was attacked by the terrorists in Borno State on Friday.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Ndume said the attack on Buratai’s convoy raises concern about the boldness of the insurgents and the escalating insecurity in the Northeast.

While details of the attack and casualties remain unclear, the lawmaker said the ex-COAS’ convoy was attacked near a major military base in the state.
