Share this:

Nigerian Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has officially welcomed Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State following his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a heartfelt message shared on his social media handle, Akpabio expressed his joy at the governor’s transition.

He emphasized his happiness in receiving Governor Eno, along with his deputy, Akon Eyakenyi, and other APC governors led by Forum Chairman Hope Uzodimma, at his residence in Uyo.

The Senate President added,

“It is with utmost joy that I welcomed my brother, Governor Eno, along with members of the State Executive Council, Federal and State lawmakers, and council chairmen into the Progressives’ family. Thank you, Mr. Governor, for prioritizing the interests of our people. Congratulations and welcome to the fold.”

This significant event marks a new chapter for Akwa Ibom State as it aligns more closely with the APC under Governor Eno’s leadership.
