In a major political declaration ahead of the November 2025 Anambra State Governorship Election, the Umueri Community, Awka Branch, has officially endorsed Sir Paul Chukwuma, the candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP).
The endorsement, contained in a circular released after a general meeting of the Awka branch, stated that the majority decision of its members represents the collective voice of Umueri patriots and indigenes both at home and in the diaspora.
According to the communiqué, the Umueri Awka branch resolved to rally behind Sir Paul Chukwuma, describing him as a leader with proven integrity, capacity, and vision to steer Anambra State to greater heights. The circular noted that his commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance makes him the best choice for Ndi Anambra in the 2025 governorship race.
Speaking during the meeting, leaders of the branch emphasized that their decision goes beyond partisan interest, but reflects the genuine aspiration of the Umueri people for credible and responsive leadership. They further urged all sons and daughters of Umueri to not only cast their votes for Sir Paul Chukwuma but also engage actively in grassroots mobilization to secure his victory.
With this strong show of support from the Awka branch, Umueri Community has sent a clear signal of unity and determination, reaffirming their readiness to play a decisive role in shaping the political direction of Anambra State through the candidacy of Sir Paul Chukwuma.
