The Progressive Governor’s Forum have make arrangement to officially receive Bayelsa State Governor, His Excellency Douye Diri to the All Progressives Congress (APC) party on next week Tuesday.
The final meeting to receive him to APC concluded on APC Governors WhatsApp group yesterday mid-night around 1am– that the Delta State Governor was instructed to add Douye Diri to the WhatsApp group for them to conclude plans how to receive him to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the nearest days.
Douye Diri told and assured the Governors, all his Commissioners, House of Assembly Members, political appointees, aides and both the three Bayelsa State senators agreed and accepted to follow his decision to decamping to APC that only one senator among the three senators disagreed to follow his decision to decamp to APC- (I will not mention his name).
Moreover, Douye Diri made known to the top principal political officers in Bayelsa State, the reasons why he is decamping to All Progressive Congress (APC):
1. To connect to the Federal Government (National) to bring Federal Government projects and benefits to Bayelsa State.
2. That People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have deliberating destroyed by some set of people and if we continue or operating under People Democratic party (PDP) our state (Bayelsa) will always been denial from good developmental strides from the Federal Government. Hence, we are decamping to APC as soon as possible.
The moment, he mentioned that Delta State Governor, His Excellency Elder Sheriff Oborevwori smiles and told Douye Diri that he will play a critical role to make sure his defection ceremony will be a success.
The Lagos State Governor’s Babajide Sanwo-Olu, assured Douye Diri that his decision to belong to the progressive family will never be disappointed and he told him that President Asiwaju Tinubu’s is already aware of his coming to join the APC and it is best decision Douye Diri took so far in nation-building and United Nigeria and for the betterment of its state (Bayelsa State).
