No fewer than 2,310 youths are undergoing training on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion techniques organised by the Kogi Government.

Mr Kingsley Fanwo, Commissioner for Information, disclosed in a statement on Friday in Lokoja.

Fanwo stated that the development was in line with the government’s policy of addressing unemployment in the state.

The commissioner said that the youths are drawn from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state, with training centres in Lokoja, Okene, Idah, and Kabba.

He said the initiative is in partnership with Sufpay Ltd. and is designed to equip Kogi youths with cutting-edge skills that align with Nigeria’s national embrace of cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions.

According to him, the initiative will not only strengthen the local economy but also serve as a non-kinetic strategy for addressing insecurity by engaging the youth population productively.

Fanwo also extended appreciation to Sufpay Ltd., noting that the company’s dedication and technical expertise have been instrumental in driving the vision forward.
