Col. (Arc) Geoff Onyejegbu is a Security and Intelligence Guru, a Technocrat, CEO and Resource Manager. He is a front line only Governorship Aspirant under our great party NEW NIGERIA PEOPLE’S PARTY( NNPP).
Col. Geoff was born into the family of Chief Godfrey Igweike Onyejegbu Ide Anaedo ll of Umuezenwabachili Oka Village, Ichi ancient kingdom, in Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra state. He had his primary education at St James primary school Ichi and proceeded to Nnewi High School Nnewi and National Secondary School Nnewi, where he finished as the best student of his set during the school certificate examinations. Because of his outstanding performance in his school certificate examinations, the then Standard Bank of Nigeria offered him automatic employment. From there, the young Geoff was offered admission into the Prestigious Nigeria Defence Academy, on completion he was commissioned as an officer of the Nigeria Army.
As a military officer he served in Nigeria Army Engineering Corp as a combat sapper officer. From there he proceeded to University of Nigeria to read Architecture, where he bagged his Bsc and Msc from the Department of Architecture. He subsequently attended Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he obtained an Advanced Diploma In Quality Management, before he proceeded to Nigeria Premier University Of Ibadan where he obtained another MSc in Strategic And Political Studies. Col. Geoff therefore capped his academic journey with a Doctorate Training in Architecture from another world_class institution, The University Of Phoenix Arizona USA, where he bagged his PhD.
In Col. Geoff’s military career, where he served for good 32 years and voluntarily retired as a Colonel, he had over 17 military courses both within and outside Nigeria! Some of the courses includes; Airborne Rangers Training, Staff College _ Junior and Senior Training, where he earned Staff College Junior And Senior Divisions PJSC & PSC+. Because of his exceptional performance, he was retained to teach both at the Junior And Senior Divisions And Was Awarded PSC+ DAGGER! To crown it all, he proceeded to almighty War College now known as Defense College where he earned Fellow of War College (fwc), Fellow Of African Strategic Study Center, Fellow Of National Defense College Washington DC USA.
Col. Geoff is also a notable Diplomat, he is the first military attached from East of the Niger to Nigeria Embassy in Washington DC and also military Diplomat concurrently served Canada and Southern American with a briefing session at the famous American Pentagon Washington DC USA. He also commanded 42 Engr Brigade in Mokola Ibadan and at various times acting GOC of 2 Division Nigeria Army Odogbo Ibadan. After his 32 years of military service, he retired with Distinguished Service Star Award (DSS) after an earlier Meritorious Service Star Award (MSS).
Col. Geoff picked interest in politics as a result of the horrible experiences he went through as an Army officer, which is been extended to most people who are born on the other side of the Niger. To him most of those who call the shots from other regions of the country are those trained like him, the likes of Danjuma, Babangida, Buhari, Obasanjo, Mongonu and host of others and therefore the need for his to lend his voice and actively participate for the interest of our people!
In politics, Col. Geoff was the standard flag bearer of CPN in the February 6th 2010 Anambra gubernatorial election. He was also the 2013 National Convention Chairman of APGA that produced Maxi Okwu under HE Mr Peter Obi before he realised that our league at the centre is being played with our 5th eleven and therefore he joined forces with other progressive Nigerians in the formation of APC in 2013/2014 as one of the founding members of the party. In 2019, he was a Senatorial Aspirant under the great party APC to represent the good people of Anambra South. He have served the great party APC in various strategic capacities, he also contributed so much in sustaining APC in South East and Anambra State in particular.
Col. Geoff is a lover of sports and Golf sports in particular, he is an active member of IBB Golf club Abuja and Ikoyi Golf club Lagos.ol. He represents the CEO of Autocorp Impex Nigeria Ltd Autocorp owning Electrocorp brands and The White House chain of Hospitality Apartments Hotels in Lagos, Abuja and other major cities in Nigeria. A prominent pillar of Ichi ancient kingdom, a Red Cap High Chief and an inner Royal Cabinet member of Ichi kingdom, Col. Geoff was conferred with the prestigious title of Ide Anaedo lll by the Igwe_in_council and Ichi Development Union, as a result of his enormous and philanthropic contributions to humanity, through his Kanebi Motherhood Foundation
