The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded the approved logo of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) on its official platform, following a High Court order. The development clears the way for NDC candidates to proceed with campaign materials and continue their consultations and campaigns using the approved party identity.
Reacting to the development, NDC National Leader Senator Seriake Dickson congratulated the party’s leadership and members, while commending the Nigerian Judiciary, INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan and members of the commission for complying with the court judgment. He also acknowledged the efforts of National Chairman Senator Moses Cleopas and members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), alongside the understanding shown by candidates and party members during the process.
With the logo issue now settled, the NDC has urged its candidates and members to work together, coordinate their campaign activities with the party at all levels and avoid self-sabotage. The party also called for vigilance against misinformation and rumours capable of creating division, reaffirming its stated commitment to democratic rights and multi-party democracy.
