Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has sparked reactions on social media after he was spotted addressing participants at the Spier Dialogue Event held in Cape Town, South Africa.
Photos shared by the former presidential candidate on his official X account on Sunday captured the moment he sat on the podium alongside foreign delegates while speaking before a large audience at the international gathering. His appearance at the event quickly attracted attention online, with many Nigerians reacting to his message on Africa’s development and leadership.
Speaking during the event, Peter Obi stated that Africa is richly blessed with natural resources and should not be associated with poverty. He stressed the need for African leaders to move beyond politics and focus on productivity, development, and nation-building.
According to him, “Africa must now look ahead and move forward with decisive action. We must shift our focus from politics and endless election cycles to productivity, development and nation-building.”
