The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has assured Nigerian military personnel of improved pay and welfare packages. Speaking at the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day Social Night, Oluyede said concrete measures are being implemented with the approval of President Bola Tinubu. “Something positive will come up,” he said, adding that 2026 would be a better year for personnel.
