Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the #TheBest FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year 2025 award, following an outstanding season for both club and country. The Super Falcons captain is shortlisted alongside Ann-Katrin Berger from Germany, Misa Rodríguez Coll from Spain, Christiane Endler from Chile, Hannah Hampton from England, Emily Moorhouse from England, and Phallon Tullis-Joyce from the United States.
This nomination cements her place among the best goalkeepers in the world, and is a major milestone for African women’s football. The question on everyone’s mind is whether Nnadozie can make history by becoming the first African to win this award.
