Former Governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi, paid a condolence visit to the Niger State Government following the recent flood disaster in Mokwa, Niger State that claimed several lives and displaced many residents.
Mr. Obi was accompanied by his team and was received at the Government House by the Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago who was represented by his deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba
During the visit, Mr. Obi donated the sum of N20M and offered prayers for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident and expressed deep sympathy with the affected families and communities.
He also commended the state government for its response efforts and called for more action to mitigate the effects of natural disasters.
