Aniekwe Urges Reflection on Good Friday
Hon. Peter Udeoglanya Aniekwe, Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, has called on Christians to use the solemn occasion of Good Friday as a time for deep reflection on the life, sacrifice, and teachings of Jesus Christ. He urged constituents and the wider Christian community to embrace the virtues of compassion, forgiveness, and selfless service, which Christ exemplified through His crucifixion at Calvary.
The lawmaker emphasized the need for individuals and communities to reflect on their relationships with one another, promoting love, unity, and peaceful coexistence despite differences. He noted that Good Friday serves as a reminder of the power of sacrifice and the importance of putting humanity first, especially in the face of prevailing challenges.
Hon. Aniekwe further expressed hope for a renewed spirit among the people, encouraging them to translate their reflections into actions that uplift society and support the vulnerable.
Finally, he prayed for continued peace, progress, and unity in Anambra State and Nigeria at large, wishing Christians a solemn and meaningful Good Friday.
