The Distinguished Senator representing Anambra North, Dr. Tony Nwoye, has extended warm Eid Mubarak greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria, calling for sustained commitment to unity, peace, and mutual respect.
Speaking to Lazeera news,the lawmaker described Eid as a significant period of reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal, urging citizens to uphold the values that promote harmony within the nation.
Speaking further, when asked if there are positive significance of the celebration in our country, Senator Nwoye emphasized that Nigeria’s strength lies in its rich diversity, noting that religious and cultural differences should serve as a foundation for collective growth rather than division. He called on Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of compassion, tolerance, and generosity exemplified during the Eid season, stressing that national cohesion remains critical to the country’s stability and development.
Reaffirming his dedication to fostering inclusive governance, the senator encouraged citizens especially constituents to use the festive period to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and extend support to the less privileged.
