Choose Leaders Who Will Grow the Community, Not Themselves

By Ogechukwu-Laz Akwaeze

A concerned Nando son, writing after deep reflection on the road ahead.

In moments where community development is the first choice, clarity, sincerity, and responsible leadership become non-negotiable. As the 2026 Nando President-General election approaches, our community stands before a decisive turning point, one that will shape not only our present experience but the inheritance we prepare for the rising generation. This election is more than a contest; it is a defining decision about Nando’s future.

Speaking on the significance of this moment, Ogechukwu-Laz Akwaeze emphasizes that the stakes go beyond personalities or familiar sentiments. “This election is not just about who becomes the next PG,” he explains, “but about the kind of community we want to hand over to our children. We cannot afford leaders who see power as personal territory; we must choose those who see service as a sacred duty.”

Nando has grown wiser, more connected, and more expectant. Our youths seek opportunity, our families desire unity, and our elders yearn for stronger communal harmony. These realities call for a President-General who understands leadership as responsibility, not prestige—someone guided by competence, humility, fairness, and a genuine passion for collective upliftment.

The next PG must be a leader who can unite all quarters, manage issues with transparency, protect community peace, and attract development that speaks to both present needs and future aspirations. Nando requires a visionary who understands that community growth is a shared legacy, not a personal empire.

Reinforcing this call, Akwaeze adds: “Nando deserves a leader who will grow the community, not themselves, someone whose service strengthens our unity and uplifts every home, every youth, and every future dream.”

The 2026 PG election presents Nando with a rare opportunity to open a fresh and promising chapter, one anchored on progress, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the common good. The power to shape that chapter rests in our collective hands.

Let us choose wisely.
Let us choose progress.
Let us choose a future worthy of Nando.
