Global Collaboration: South Sudan’s Police Force Strengthened through Indian Training Program

Four officers from the South Sudan National Police Service have departed to the Republic of India to participate in a specialized training program titled “Analysis of Criminal Behavior of Offenders,” as part of bilateral cooperation between the two countries under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) initiative.

The delegation includes:

– Mr. Oscar Fidai Tom Kaka

– Mr. Ali Melwal Ali Deng

The program is being held at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gujarat State and will run until June 20 2025. It focuses on enhancing officers’ analytical skills in understanding criminal behavior patterns and offender characteristics thereby strengthening their capabilities in addressing complex crimes.

The police administration stated that this initiative falls within its efforts to enhance personnel efficiency through knowledge exchange with friendly nations emphasizing that specialized training is a cornerstone in institutional reform and professional development.

This aligns with the National Police Service’s strategy to strengthen community security by developing competencies and adopting international best practices in criminal investigations and crime analysis.
