Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, former governor of Abia State and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Southeast Development Commission, has responded to growing political movements aimed at challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking on Channels TV, Kalu dismissed fears over the opposition’s strength, stressing that preparation and hard work within the APC remain a powerful key to resisting the victory of the coalition
”They can form their coalition, while we work very hard not to be defeated by their coalition,”
Kalu urged the APC to avoid complacency by focusing on solving everyday challenges facing citizens, including high living costs and unemployment. He noted that political elites often lose sight of voters’ needs by becoming obsessed with internal struggles and power plays.
