Scholar, activist, and former presidential candidate, Professor Pat Utomi, has reaffirmed his commitment to building a broad-based national movement focused on governance reforms, leadership excellence, and sustainable development in Nigeria. Speaking during an interview, Utomi explained that despite recent political realignments within opposition circles, the coalition’s core mission remains intact and firmly centered on national progress.
According to him, the coalition, which he describes as the “Big Tent,” is continuing efforts to develop a comprehensive manifesto that will serve as a policy blueprint for Nigeria’s future. He stated that the initiative is designed to unite Nigerians around ideas, competence, and solutions to the country’s pressing challenges, rather than personal ambitions or partisan interests. “What we have done is to continue this process within the Big Tent to do a manifesto for Nigeria,” he said.
Utomi further emphasized the need for issue-based politics and responsible leadership, stressing that Nigeria’s transformation depends on leaders with integrity, capacity, and a genuine commitment to public service. He noted that the proposed manifesto will prioritize economic growth, accountability, security, and improved living standards, providing a roadmap for a more prosperous and inclusive nation.
