Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, has said that major global powers, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, are committed to supporting Nigeria’s efforts to overcome insecurity and strengthen national stability.
Speaking during an interview on ARISE News while reflecting on three years of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Musa emphasized that international partners continue to provide valuable assistance in the country’s fight against terrorism and other security challenges.
According to the Defence Minister, the support from these nations has enhanced intelligence gathering, military training, and operational effectiveness among Nigerian security forces. He noted that the collaboration has contributed to more targeted operations against insurgents, kidnappers, and criminal networks threatening peace in various parts of the country. Musa stated that the shared objective of Nigeria’s allies is to see the country succeed and remain secure.
The minister further assured Nigerians that security agencies remain committed to dismantling terrorist groups and restoring lasting peace across the nation. While acknowledging ongoing concerns over recent attacks and abductions, he maintained that the government would continue to strengthen both international partnerships and local security capacities to ensure sustainable peace, stability, and development.
