APC’s Alleged Attempt to Silence Buhari’s Impact Uncovered
Share this:

Lauretta Onochie, a Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC and former presidential aide has raised serious concerns over what she believed was an unfair treatment of the northern region by the current administration.

According to the statements which were shared on her official X account on Sunday May 17th, 2026 she pointed out that the APC was not only trying to silence, but also obliterate Muhammadu Buhari’s legacy in the region.

Her submission came amid the heated arguments that trailed the retirement of Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar, a former APC Chieftain from politics few months after announcing his intentions to contest the gubernatorial elections under the ADC platform.

Lauretta Onochie, widely admired for her boldness and fearless remarks, pointed out that the calculated persecution of northern leaders was unacceptable, given the legacy left behind by former president Muhammadu Buhari.

She further cited the cases of former Kaduna State governor, Nasiru El-Rufai and former attorney general, Abubakar Malami to drive down her points.

However, she maintained that all efforts to cage northern leaders will not yield positive results as they remained resolute, but warned that they must be allowed to breathe.
