Senator Ali Ndume, during an interview on Arise News expressed deep concern over the current state of Nigeria’s military, particularly focusing on the declining morale among soldier

Speaking candidly, the senator noted that the dedication and sacrifices of Nigerian troops are no longer being matched with the level of appreciation and recognition they deserve

According to him, this growing disconnect is beginning to take a toll on the mindset and motivation of those actively serving on the front line

He emphasized that soldiers who risk their lives daily to protect the nation should feel valued and supported, both by the government and the general publi

However, Ndume suggested that the lack of consistent acknowledgment for their efforts has created a sense of neglect within the ranks. This, he warned, could have serious implications for national security if not urgently addresse

In his words, “I’m so worried these days that even the morale of our soldiers have started waning and that is because, we are not appreciating what our soldiers out there are doing.
