ADC Convention Ought to infont of INEC office -Lawal
Share this:

National Deputy Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Babachir Lawal, has disclosed that he advised organisers of the party’s recent convention to move the event to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters after they ran into venue problems.

Speaking on CHANNELS TV, Lawal said he suggested staging the convention in front of INEC and, if necessary, holding it on the street to compel attendance, but the organisers rejected the idea.

He added that the tactic was intended to ensure the party’s message reached its intended audience and signalled a determined effort ahead of the 2027 elections.

Lawal framed the proposal as a practical measure to maintain momentum and warned that the party would press its agenda vigorously in the run-up to the next general election.

Here’s what he said

“I had proposed to the organisers of the convention that let’s go and do it in front of INEC.

If they are not going to come, we will go to them and hold the convention on the street. But they didn’t agree. We are going to throw him out on the street come 2027; Bola will be in the street.
