The Anambra State Police Command received 30 Toyota Hilux patrol vehicles from the state government to boost security operations. The vehicles were handed over by Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo at the Old Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia. This move aims to enhance police visibility, response time, and operational efficiency across the state.
During the event, Commissioner of Police Ikioye Orutugu presented 28 newly passed-out Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) to the governor. The officers, indigenes of Anambra, completed their training at the Nigeria Police Academy and were commissioned into the Officers’ Cadre.
Governor Soludo urged the officers to uphold Anambra’s values and embody the state’s slogan, “a Light to the Nation,” through exemplary service and professionalism. He emphasized dedication, integrity, and commitment to duty in sustaining peace and security, noting the state government’s continued support for the police.
