1. She was born Allwell Adetokunbo Ademola on August 9, 1982, in Lagos State, but hails from Abeokuta.
2. She is the first child of her parents.
3. She is a granddaughter of the first Chief Justice of Nigeria, the late (Chief) Adetokunbo Ademola. She is also the great-granddaughter of Alake II of Egbaland and a cousin to actor Muyiwa Ademola.
4. Allwell started acting when she was five years old and was also featured in the popular ‘Tales by Moonlight’ and ‘Animal Games,’ which were NTA programs.
5. She is a graduate of Dramatic Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University.
6. She joined stage productions at the NCAC National Theatre in 1993 and featured in her first home video the same year, where she worked with Cliff Igwe.
7. Allwell is the scriptwriter of Saheed Balogun’s movie “Eti Keta,” which also stars Kate Henshaw.
8. She rose to prominence in 2008, when she starred in movies like Larodo Ojo, You or I (2013), Omo Emi, and Aye Keji. Other movies she has been involved in include Ojumo Ire, Gongo Aso, Oba Onise Ara, and Jagunlabi.
9. She produced and directed over 50 movies.
10. In 2002, she established her band, Allwell and Company, and released an album in 2006, with the band officially inaugurated in 2010.
11. Allwell is the recipient of several awards, including ‘Best Supporting Actress’ at the 2016 Best of Nollywood Awards for her role in ‘Hakunde.’ She also won the City People Movie Award for ‘Best Movie Producer of the Year (Yoruba)’ in 2018 and ‘Director of the Year’ in 2019.
