A devastating road accident on the Jos-Bauchi highway in Plateau State has claimed the lives of at least 10 people. The crash occurred early Tuesday when four vehicles collided near a military checkpoint.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident, stating that two trailers and two minibuses were involved, with 19 people on board. The crash happened at around 12:12 a.m. and was reportedly caused by speed and reckless driving.
The injured victims are receiving treatment at Jos University Teaching Hospital. The FRSC is urging motorists to obey traffic regulations, especially during the holiday season, as investigations into the crash continue.
