Tax Reform Bill: Hon Peter Aniekwe (Macpee) Takes Part On The Tax Reform Bill Retreat of House of Representatives

The Member Representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon Peter Udeogalanya Aniekwe (Macpee), participated at the ongoing House of Representatives Committee on Finance Retreat on Tax Reform Bill.

Hon. Peter Aniekwe who is a member of the House Committee On Finance was at the Retreat to carefully analyse the Submissions and recommendations of Nigerians towards a robust Tax Reform Bill that will take care of all the concerns of Nigerians and addresses the areas of fear.

Hon Peter Aniekwe while speaking with our correspondent noted that the Tax Reform bills seek to rejig the nation’s tax system for effective revenue generation. He pointed out that for every law, there must be the spirit of the letters.

He said: “We have all agreed that the spirit behind the four bills is good. But we have issues with some of the letters of the bills. That is why we have these Retreat to address those concerns. We support the spirit and want to assure Nigerians that we will do what is expected of us as true representatives of the people.
