The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued two kidnapped Catholic priests and arrested a suspect, Tahamado Jonathan Demian (34), a member of their church, were abducted and taken to a hideout in Gwaida Malam village, near Numan and Demsa LGAs.
Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris commended public support and assured that the suspect will face prosecution, says a statement signed by the PPRO, Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje.
The Bishop of Yola Diocese, Nigeria, Most Rev. Dr Stephen Dami Mamza in a statement, applauded the gallant efforts of the Nigerian police for the safe rescue of the two Catholic priests and thank the faithful for their prayers.
