….. Naira to Strengthen

The Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has projected that the naira will appreciate further, settling between ₦1,300 and ₦1,400 to the dollar before the close of 2025. Rabiu made this forecast after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he commended the administration’s “bold and decisive” economic reforms.

According to him, businesses now enjoy easier access to foreign exchange through independent banking channels, unlike in the past when they had to depend almost solely on the Central Bank of Nigeria. He stressed that these reforms are laying the foundation for a stronger economy and a more stable naira.

Rabiu also noted that food and commodity prices have dropped compared to last year, urging Nigerians to remain patient as the full benefits of the reforms unfold. He contrasted the current FX regime with the old one, which, he said, created distortions and forced companies to lobby for dollars.
