Anambra First Lady, Dr. Nonye Soludo said that she had seen a viral video of a sad incident reportedly involving men of Agunechemba security formation and a female corps member serving in Anambra State in Oba, Idemili South LGA.
Dr. Soludo stated that there was no justification whatsoever for such an ugly and humiliating abuse. She said such a demeaning approach to law and order did not reflect Anambra’s celebrated identity as hospitable and peaceful people, nor did it represent the humane philosophy of their administration.
Dr. Soludo emphasized that there were always rules of engagement in such situations, and they must prioritize dignity, civility, and respect. She found the Oba incident very disturbing and appealed to the appropriate authorities, who were already looking into it, to take critical measures to not only entrench justice but also ensure such a worrisome scene was not seen again.
Dr. Soludo stressed that Anambra’s image was priceless and must be guarded jealously.
